The Manx Cat
The Manx (Tailless) cat originated probably centuries ago, on the Isle of Man, situated in the Irish Sea, between Northern England and Northern Ireland. Today the cats emblem is very important and it appears in local advertising, postage stamps and coins on the island. Also the government have established a cattery to preserve the breeding stock for all time.
Manx cats are now kept as pedigree cats all over the globe. Outside the Isle of Man, they appear to be more popular in the United States.
